Terms of Service

Fieldwork is a coaching tool for youth and travel baseball and softball coaches. It helps you manage rosters, build batting orders and fielding rotations, track pitch counts and rest days, run game day, and share all of it with the coaches on your staff. Fieldwork is available as an iOS app, with some features on our website.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Give us accurate information, keep your password private, and let us know right away if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

We are always improving Fieldwork, so features will be added, changed, and sometimes removed. If we remove a paid feature that is central to Fieldwork, we will tell you ahead of time where we reasonably can.

Fieldwork, including the app, website, design, and software, belongs to Gritmade LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Fieldwork under these Terms. These Terms do not give you any other rights in Fieldwork, our name, or our logos.

The rosters, lineups, stats, photos, and other information you add to Fieldwork ("your content") belong to you. You give us permission to host, store, process, and display your content only as needed to run Fieldwork for you and the coaches you share it with, including sending it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy.

Many players are minors. When you add player names, photos, stats, or other details, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that you are following any rules set by your league, organization, or the players' parents or guardians. Only add the information you need to coach the team.

When you invite coaches to a team, they can see and edit that team's information, and changes sync between everyone on the team. Team owners can remove coaches at any time. Treat your team's invite code like a password: anyone with the code can ask to join your team, so share it only with people you want on your staff.

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Fieldwork without owing you anything for them.

Fieldwork is free to download. Some features require a Fieldwork Pro subscription, offered monthly or yearly at the prices shown in the app. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, and Apple's terms and policies also apply to your purchase.

New coaches may get a free trial of Fieldwork Pro. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically becomes a paid subscription and you will be charged.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Because Apple processes all payments, refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

We may change subscription prices. Apple will notify you before a price change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

We sometimes offer promo codes for free or discounted Pro access. Promo codes may expire, can only be used as described when they are offered, have no cash value, and cannot be resold or transferred.

Fieldwork AI can suggest batting orders and fielding assignments and read rosters from photos. AI suggestions are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. Review them before you use them; you decide who plays where.

Fieldwork's pitch counts, rest-day reminders, and league rule warnings are tools to help you, not a substitute for your own judgment. You are responsible for following your league's pitching rules, for player eligibility, and for decisions about player health and safety. Always confirm against your league's official rules, which may differ from what Fieldwork shows or change over time.

You can stop using Fieldwork and delete your account anytime from the app. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that in your Apple ID settings too. We delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if your use puts other coaches, players, or Fieldwork at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute related to these Terms or Fieldwork will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. If you keep using Fieldwork after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Gritmade LLC about Fieldwork. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, that is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not transfer these Terms without our permission; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
